On January 4, 2025, the Asia IPR Talents Grand Ceremony, hosted by IPR Daily and IPR Daily Global, was successfully held in Shenzhen. The event brought together industry talents from China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and other regions to engage in a thought-provoking exchange of innovation, wisdom, and cooperation.
During the ceremony, the 50 Intellectual Property lawyers Under the Age of 50 in 2024 (also known as the U50) was unveiled, with GEN Law Firm Partner Steve Zhao being recognized on the list.

Steve has been involved in many cases that have contributed to the development of IP jurisprudence in China. Throughout his career, his exceptional litigation skills and creative legal strategies have secured significant victories for clients in landmark cases. In 2023, Mr. Zhao's cases were selected as representative cases by the Supreme People’s Court and high People’s courts nine times.

After individual self-recommendation, institutional nomination, preliminary review, and expert evaluation, 80 candidates were shortlisted in November, and the final list of 50 lawyers was released in January 2025 following the final selection process.
