On March 6, 2023, Legal Guru Club and Legal Hall of Fame jointly released the first "Outstanding Lawyers & Law Firms Recommended by Prominent Chinese Corporate Legal Counsels" directory along with the 2023 Corporate Counsel Guide for Selecting Lawyers & Law Firms. GEN Law Firm has been recognized for its performance and client recognition in the field of intellectual property, earning the title of "Best Law Firm in Intellectual Property for 2023." "Outstanding Lawyers & Law Firms Recommended by Prominent Chinese Corporate Legal Counsels " directory is an initiative jointly launched by Legal Guru Club and Legal Hall of Fame. It widely solicits suggestions from general counsels of large enterprises and recommends outstanding lawyers and law firms they have collaborated with. This results in a unique, client-driven guide for hiring lawyers and law firms within the industry. There are many awards and ratings in the legal circle, but a fair, transparent, equitable, and free list like this, coming from clients, is what the industry truly needs.

This guide has been under preparation for a few years. Although it is the inaugural edition, it has garnered extensive responses from the industry upon its launch. Many general counsels from large enterprises have proactively submitted recommendations to the platform. By the time the list was published, the platform had received 685 valid client recommendations from 302 companies and 320 general counsels, who recommended a total of 515 outstanding lawyers, with an average of 1.6 recommendations per counsel.

The participating general counsel clients come from central state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and foreign enterprises, each accounting for approximately one-third, and cover 28 cities across the country. The recommended lawyers and law firms have a wide range of expertise and geographical representation, making this guide representative.
