Simon (Xiaokuan) Du

Mr. Xiaokuan Du specializes in intellectual property dispute resolution and corporate IP management, handling both litigation and non-litigation cases. His expertise encompasses the protection of trade secret systems, criminal/civil/administrative disputes, trademark/copyright validation and infringement lawsuits, patent ownership and infringement disputes, and unfair competition cases. Over his more than ten years of legal practice, he has provided services to numerous multinational corporations, domestic listed companies, and industry-leading enterprises. His work spans various sectors including industrial manufacturing, computer communications, chemicals and agriculture, fast-moving consumer goods and retail, culture and fashion, automotive and new energy, film and animation, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and the internet, covering both traditional industries and high-tech fields. Additionally, he has offered specialized IP litigation and non-litigation services during the IPO processes of several domestic companies.

Ms. Dong excels in handling complex intellectual property and unfair competition cases. She has extensive practical experience in trademark/copyright infringement, unfair competition among core competitors, infringement of reputation/commercial defamation, etc. Several cases she has handled have been selected as typical cases by courts, industry organizations, and professional journals, such as the first civil case recognizing merchandising rights in China, one of the landmark cases admitting the copyrightability of live sports programming in China, and the first pretrial evidence preservation case since China set up Beijing IP Court.
