Peishu is an experienced government relations specialist whose career path is landmarked with such positions as senior director of an international consulting firm, attorney-at-law at both a Chinese and an international law firm, and diplomat to the US.

Before joining GEN, Peishu worked as a senior director in a well-known international consulting company, helping multinational companies develop and execute government relations strategies and action plans. She has rich experience in assisting clients in resolving legal disputes with local governments and state-owned enterprises by leveraging support from government agencies at the central level.

Peishu had practiced law for nearly eight years in a leading domestic law firm and a US-based international law firm. Her practice areas included antitrust, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital.

From 2013 to 2017, Peishu was appointed by the Ministry of Commerce as a commercial consul based in the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, where she assisted Chinese companies in connecting with local governments and business communities. She also advised American local companies on China's business environment, and foreign investment related laws and regulations.

Peishu's experience as a lawyer and a diplomat enables her to approach and analyze issues from different perspectives and provide comprehensive and feasible solutions to clients.

• Assist a leading Chinese new energy vehicle company in identifying and utilizing local investment preferential policies in the US, and assist its north American company in dealing with problems it encounters in its operation.

  Assist a multinational company in high-tech area in understanding the relevant policies and regulations of government procurement and provide advisory opinions.

• Assist a global asset management company in interpretations of China's financial regulations and policies, communication with regulatory authorities to obtain support for its entry into the Chinese market.

• Assist the Chinese subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company in properly resolving its legal disputes with local government under the investment agreement by leveraging support from the central governments.

• Assist a multinational media group in resolving legal disputes between its subsidiary and a Chinese state-owned enterprise under the equity transfer agreement.

• Assist a multinational company in seeking support from industry associations on issues related to antitrust declaration and communicating with regulatory authorities to obtain their support in clearing the transaction.

• Assisted a number of multinational companies to raise their corporate profiles and establish communication channels with regulatory authorities by participating in Boao Forum for Asia, China International Import Expo and other government-sponsored events.
