This recognition reflects GEN Law's capabilities, growth potential and sustained development. Earlier in 2026, the firm was recognised for Arbitration in the ALB China Dispute Resolution Rankings. GEN Law was also ranked in the ALB China Intellectual Property Rankings for the sixth consecutive year, receiving recommendations in both Trademark/Copyright and Patent.
GEN Law has also recently achieved a number of significant results for its clients. In an ICC arbitration between a Chinese state-owned enterprise and the project owner in Latin America, the firm coordinated parallel proceedings across multiple jurisdictions, secured injunctions restraining payment under guarantees, prevailed in the arbitration and recovered the full amount awarded. GEN Law also acted in China's first securities class action settlement, which concluded with 7,195 investors receiving more than RMB 280 million in compensation. The case was selected as one of the People's Courts' Top Ten Cases of 2024.
In cross-border asset recovery matters, GEN Law has coordinated legal resources in China and overseas to assist clients with asset investigations, preservation measures and recovery proceedings.
In a well-known trademark case for H.B. Fuller, the court recognised the trademark at issue as a well-known trademark and awarded the maximum statutory damages of RMB 5 million against the infringer. In a patent enforcement action for a leading international agricultural technology company, the Supreme People's Court awarded nearly RMB 33 million in damages in its final judgment, potentially representing the highest damages award obtained by a foreign company in a final patent infringement judgment in China. In a data rights case involving Maimai, the Beijing Internet Court delivered its first judgment applying the newly added data-specific provision of the current Anti-Unfair Competition Law, finding that the improper acquisition and use of platform user data constituted unfair competition.
