Ms. Li is a Senior Associate with extensive experience handling both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, including trademark, unfair competition, copyright, trade secrets, and defamation/commercial disparagement disputes.
She advises and represents clients across a broad range of industries, including software, fintech and financial services, semiconductors, communications and media, entertainment, automotive and autonomous vehicles, and life sciences and chemical sectors. She has substantial experience in trademark infringement and unfair competition litigation, helping clients secure favorable judgments or reach successful settlements, including matters resulting in RMB-million-level compensation.
Ms. Li also advises on IP-related transactions such as software development and licensing, brand/trademark licensing, technology licensing and transfers, and frequently conducts IP due diligence for transactions. With a technical background in computer science, she is able to develop a deep understanding of clients’ business needs and technical requirements. She also supports enterprises with IP management and planning, including the development and implementation of IP protection strategies, internal policies, and related processes.
Intellectual Property Litigation
Represented Owens Corning, a leading global building materials company, in civil trademark infringement litigation. The court found infringement and awarded damages of RMB 3.5 million. During the proceedings, assisted the client in obtaining property preservation that largely covered the awarded amount, providing strong security for enforcement of the judgment.
Represented Honeywell in an unfair competition action to protect its product trade dress, achieving a favorable settlement with an RMB-million-level settlement amount.
Assisted Philip Morris, a leading tobacco company, in trademark infringement litigation and secured compensation satisfactory to the client.
Defended a well-known multinational company in a commercial disparagement suit; successfully challenged jurisdiction, resulting in the plaintiff withdrawing the case.
