Ms. Ding provides legal services covered full lifetime of an international construction project, including legal due diligence, transaction structure design, transaction documents negotiating, and international arbitrations for many cross-border energy and infrastructure projects of Chinese SOEs and private enterprises.

Ms. Ding is familiar with issues relating to the entire industry chain of cross-border infrastructure projects and has rich experience from front-end structure design and project investment, mid-end project implementation, and back-end dispute resolution.

Commercial Litigations/Arbitrations

• Represented a Chinese construction company in parallel disputes with an Argentinian company in ICC Singapore, Chinese court and a related case in US court (dispute amount over USD 80 million). The outcome of the three cases are in favour of my client.

• Represented a Chinese SOE in disputes with a BVI company related to a share purchase agreement in CIETAC with an amount over CNY 3 billion

• Represented a Chinese SOE in disputes with its subcontractor related to a railway project in Bolivian in CIETAC with an amount up to CNY 250 million.

• Represented a Chinese SOE in a dispute with its subcontractor related to a construction project in Bolivia in Beijing Arbitration Committee with an amount of USD 8 million, which the parties have settled.

• Represented a foreign company in parallel disputes with several Chinese and American citizens related to share purchase agreements in CIETAC, and several Chinese courts.

• Represented a Chinese investment company in several disputes with individuals related to investment agreements in CIETAC and BAC. The awards of the cases are in favour of my client.

• Represented a Chinese company in disputes with a company registered in the Republic of Yemen related to fraud of a bank guarantee in Chinese courts. The rulings of the two cases are in favour of my client.

• Represented a Chinese SOE in disputes with an Ethiopian company related to fraud of a bank guarantee in a Chinese court, which the parties have settled.

• Provided legal services to the Russian subsidiary of a well-known Internet company in a dispute that its director took advantage of his associated relationship to misappropriate company’s property. The dispute involves legal services relating to Singaporean, Russian, Hong Kong and Chinese law, and the total disputed amount is about USD 80 million.

• Provided legal services to a central government-owned enterprise client for the Bangrampura-Demara Expressway PPP Project.

Infrastructure/Energy/ M&A

• Provided legal services to a Chinese SOE for an acquisition and EPC Project of two 24.9MW small hydropower plants in Russia.

• Provided legal services to a Chinese SOE in investment into and construction of a Russian agriculture project.

• Provided legal services for the EPC project of Russia Magnitogorsk Steel Plant of Sinosteel International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.

• Provided legal services to a Chinese SOE in respect of acquisition of a project in PPP mode of Ebi River Bridge in New Siberia, Russia.

• Provided legal services for a Bengalese photovoltaic power station investment project of a new energy company.

• Provided legal services for the acquisition by a Chinese SOE of a Bulgarian photovoltaic power generation project.

• Provided legal services to a Chinese SOE for its Malaysian photovoltaic power station investment project.

• Provided legal services for China Railway International’s China-Laos Railway BOT Project.
